The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. When cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating, loads are affected primarily by the transfer of body mass.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis twisting and body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace helps further connect and reinforce the lower section of the body.
