A car’s chassis is the part exposed to the greatest loads due to the way the vehicle is driven. This is especially evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to three times more force than the other. This can result in considerable chassis twisting, bodywork deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear chassis brace helps provide additional support for the bodywork around the mounting area.
