A car’s chassis is subjected to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps reduce unwanted body twisting.
