The vehicle’s bodywork is the part exposed to the greatest loads while driving. These loads are caused mainly by the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in bodywork twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the bodywork.
